This is my first entry of a weekly post to share innovations in packaging design and structure. Examples shown are usually previously shared with our staff at our weekly all-staff meetings. I hope you find this intersting and inspiring.
This week I shared news of a custom-shapeable paper packaging that can replace a PET jar. While it's approved for food and doesn't leak, it is not being made to hold liquids. To read more about this innovation, go to the full article here.
What? A paper jar?! Very cool. Imagine the possibilities for dry goods of any kind. A fully recyclable package that can be branded which a unique shape as well as graphics, made from a renewable resource. It's lighter than plastic which reduces the product's carbon footprint and saves money in shipping.
