Wrapping Paper: Get Creative!

Photo from thelongthread.com.

We received lots of ideas from the HA team regarding wrapping paper.

Here are just a few:

1. Reuse those Gift Bags. It's not cheap it's smart.

2. Reuse wrapping paper. Intentionally crumple the heck out of it. Uncrumple. Wrap the gift, add a simple ribbon or a narrow belly band strip of complimentary color around it and your are done.

3. Make it an event. Spend some time with family making wrapping paper from old newspapers. Make potato prints or draw on them. Afterwards it can be composted or reuse it again as in number 2 above.

4. Furoshiki. Instead of using traditional wrapping paper, try the Japanese wrapping technique called furoshiki, which uses any square-cut cloth. Furoshiki is as beautiful and practical. The cloth can be part of the gift!
