Spending 8 hours inside every day isn't necessarily an ideal way to celebrate Earth Day. That is, unless you bring the outdoors inside. This morning, we were welcomed with the sight of well over 100 starter plants—snow peas, wheat grass, thyme and sage—greeting us in the main lobby of our office. All courtesy of the Hornall Anderson Green Team and with the instruction to take a plant home with us at the end of the day.
Our usual looping portfolio images on our display screens have been temporarily replaced with lush scenes of nature intermingled with inspirational shots of people working to help the environment. A great way to remind us throughout the day about the importance of doing out part to keep the Earth clean. So, as we all go about our daily, hectic routines today, take a moment to recycle that piece of paper, step outside and enjoy a deep breath of fresh air, use a mug instead of a paper cup, and ask yourself, "What have 'I' done for the Earth lately?"
Happy Earth Day!
