How Creatives Celebrate Halloween

POSTED BY Christina Arbini on Nov 6, 2012

Every October, Hornall Anderson employees look forward to expressing their individual creativity through a variety of different costumes. Whether going the traditional scary route, creating something cleverly comical, donning a simple mask, or undertaking an all-out transformation, Halloween is always entertaining around our office.

Following is a selection of photos recapping last week's Halloween festivities. To get everyone into the proper...ahem...spirit, the front lobby was decorated with cobwebs, ghoulish skeletons, and the silent crow standing sentry over our lobby signage.

We had a great turn-out of costumes—everything from scary to funny, and clever to ceative.

We had guys dressing up as gals (Frida Kahlo - artist) and gals dressing up as guys (dressing as a fellow co-worker - this costume won the "Scariest" costume prize).

We had some very clever costumes, like the Zig-Zag Cigarettes Man (seriously Google the actual packaging -- he's a dead ringer!), and a throwback to the iconic movie E.T. (the E.T. cosume won the "Most Creative" prize).

Our PR and Marketing teams transformed themselves into Ninjas for the day (and won "Best Group" costume prize).

And during the lunch hour, we held a "Project Deadway" competition where five teams were each given the same random materials and had to design a scary costume for one of their teammates in 25 minutes. I think it's safe to say creative folks can harbor some pretty disturbing ideas if given the opportunity. ;-)

Here were the Project Deadway models after walking the catwalk:

Hope your Halloween was just as festive! To see even more costumes from our co-workers, check out our Facebook album!
