I finally got a chance to set up my telescope and take a look at Jupiter last night. The skies were clear, and it was up at a decent time (like not at 2 in the morning). I’ve been dying to take a look ever since I heard it was so close right now.
The best spot to look was on my sidewalk. A couple of my neighbors came to take a look too. It was awesome to share with others and it was amazing to see their reactions. These are super smart people, but comments like “you can see planets?” and “hold on, let me get my wife to take a look at Saturn” made me realized how much I take the things I’ve learned and experienced over the years for granted.
We all have our spheres of knowledge and I’m glad I got to share something with them.
