What would your reaction be if a client asked you to design signage that reminds visitors to, say, keep dogs off the grass?

Doesn't sound like the most exciting task. But this simple little project I stumbled upon today from Pentagram was a good reminder for me that even the most simple design deliverables can still be a little witty, surprising, delightful, or (at the very least) a smart extension of a brand.

Love the wit! That alone, not to mention the type style, definitely catches the eye more than the standard signage, encouraging passersby to actually stop and read the messages. Good catch!

Very true. I think the typeface alone would make me feel guiltier if I disobeyed it.

The type choice alone makes me pay more attention than your standard park/street sign.
