This past weekend, I hit the road for some mountain relaxation out at the Rolling Huts. These architectural beauties have limited amenities, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try some Starbucks VIA.
There has been quite a bit of buzz both in and out of our office about this game changing product and despite my picky palette, I gave it a go. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of the taste of Starbucks' coffees. Personally, I like mine a little lighter than the majority of their blends. To compromise, I chose the Medium blend to stay on the lighter side and was certainly pleasantly surpried!
The packets are of perfect size to toss in with other camping gear or your pocket, and the flavor was by far better than any drip I could have brewed at home or camping. The microbrew disolves away to almost nothing, leaving a smooth coffee to drink rather than a mouth full of grinds.
All around thumbs up to both Starbucks for the innovation, and HADW for the packaging design and strategy!
