A few weeks ago, Hornall Anderson participated The School of Visual Concept’s 12th Annual Wayzgoose & Steamroller Smackdown. We printed our GIANT linoleum cut that we made about the Wing Luke Museum. It was such a fun experience to get to print at that large of scale (3ft x 4ft). Plus it was really cool to see a steamroller drive over our plate and do the actual printing. We were one of 16 teams participating at the event and everyone there did an amazing job on their prints. Tether took the prize for best print this year with their awesome print for The Pinball Museum. Be sure to check out everyone’s work!
There were also a ton of other prints to purchase at the event, as well as pick up printing materials and tours of the SVC letterpress room. Blick art store was also there doing some fun giveaways — you can’t beat free art supplies! Squirrel Butter, an awesome olde time band, performed all day, too, which was a perfect accent to the actual letter pressing. It was such a fun day and we were so excited to participate! We can’t wait until next year!
