Earth Hour is a worldwide call to action on climate change initiated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). On March 27th, millions of people around the world will join together in turning off their lights at 8:30pm (local time) for one hour. This simple action symbolizes that by working together, we can make a positive impact on climate change, protect our future and the health of our planet.

For the second year in a row, Hornall Anderson is helping bring awareness to this cause by encouraging people to visit our TurnOut site and add their names to it by clicking off a virtual lightbulb. Spearheaded by our Green Team – a group of people who are passionate about the environment and how design can help our planet – we not only are drawing awareness to this movement through our microsite, but also through posters specially designed from a sustainability aspect that are posted around the city. Additionally, The Green Team created 18 different QR codes for the posters that contain different suggestions on how to spend the hour in the dark. These serve as discovered Easter eggs, adding a sense of fun to the cause.
