HAX: Multi-Touch Interactive Installation

Touchscreens are a lot of fun, and they’re popping up everywhere. However, most of these applications only allow one user at a time. To make them really interactive, we need to explore how multiple users can interact with the applications at the same time. Simple interactive elements combined with multi-user tools could support any of a wide variety of content such as customizable weather, mapping, drawing, charting, RSS feeds, data visualization, etc.

This project focuses on creating natural user interfaces which enable multiple users to control various elements at the same time. The vision is to build an interface that lets you create, select and move objects - through touch, or perhaps even gestures. The screen would then display computer-generated art/design elements and concepts.
