MyFamily.com, an online provider of family history research, wanted to launch a website focused on helping people learn more about their families through their ancestors’ military service records.
Instead of just highlighting the mountain of data they had compiled, we zoomed in on a handful of authentic, personal stories. The stories serve as examples, showing people how they could use the resources on Ancestry.com to become archeologists of their own family’s history. The rich media site uses actual artifacts and real, emotional accounts of military service to show that these documents are not just statistics; they are windows into people’s lives.
